Terms of Service

By creating an account or using Multibase, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. The Service

Multibase Ltd (“Multibase”, “we”, “us”) operates a knowledge base platform at multibase.io. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use the Service during your subscription, for your own business purposes.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at legal@multibase.io if you suspect unauthorised access.

3. Acceptable Use

You must not use the Service to:

• Host unlawful, defamatory, infringing, or harmful content
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or extract the platform's source code
• Resell or sublicense the Service as a standalone product (unless in our Reseller Programme)
• Circumvent security, rate-limiting, or usage controls
• Interfere with the Service's integrity or other customers' use

We may remove content or suspend access that violates this policy without prior notice.

4. Your Data

You own your content. We do not claim any ownership over articles, media, or data you create in the Service. You grant us a limited licence to host and process your content solely to provide the Service. We never sell your data to third parties.

5. Our Intellectual Property

We own the platform — all software, AI models, brand assets, and documentation. Nothing in these Terms transfers IP rights to you. If you share feature ideas or feedback, we may use it without obligation or compensation.

6. Fees & Payment

Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance. Fees are non-refundable except as required by law. We'll give 30 days' notice before changing prices for existing customers. Failure to pay after 7 days' notice may result in suspension.

7. Service Availability

We aim for 99.5% monthly uptime. Scheduled maintenance is announced with at least 24 hours' notice where possible. The Service is provided in good faith — we don't guarantee it will be error-free or meet every specific requirement.

8. Limitation of Liability

Our total liability to you will not exceed the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption — even if we were aware such damages were possible.

These limits don't apply to death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your content infringing third-party rights, your violation of these Terms, or your gross negligence or misconduct.

10. Term & Termination

You can cancel at any time via account settings or by emailing legal@multibase.io. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — no refund for unused time.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms and don't fix it within 14 days, if you fail to pay, or if your use creates legal liability for us.

After termination, your data is available for export for 30 days, then permanently deleted.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. We'll notify you by email or in-app notice at least 30 days before material changes take effect. Continued use after that date means you accept the new Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes that can't be resolved amicably will be handled by the courts of England and Wales.
